Tax Return filing situation 1:
Use the following W-2's and information to prepare a tax return for Sammy Kubrick. His date of birth is March 8, 1996. His parents can claim Sammy as a dependent because they provided for his support and school expenses. However, Sammy asked them if they will claim him and they said that they will not claim him because they don't need the extra exemption.
Tax Return filing situation 2:
Peter Welles (Date of birth 9/06/1946) and Jennifer Welles (Date of birth 2/10/1960) are married. Their three children: Clara Welles (DOB 12/11/2009, SSN 611-09-0223), Lucinda Welles (DOB 5/24/2010, SSN 611-09-0921), Susan Welles (DOB 5/15/2011, SSN 612-01-0362) lived with them all year and qualify as their dependents.
