2018 Tax Ethics - The Scandals


This topic contains concepts of ethics as they apply to the the scandals of the last decade. All these scandals have something very significant in common. Here in this topic, we will review ethical concepts that involve accountability, transparency, corporate culture and internal controls. Additionally, we will define ethics. We will also look at self-serving biases that many people in decision making positions are involved in. There is always a process of ethical decison making that will influent ethical priciples. All these companies: Andersen, Enron, WorldCom could have chosen a different path, but they did not. There is a level of ethical reasoning encountered when making a decision that involved the right decision or the wrong decision. There are, ultimately, red flags in a company that signal that they may deviate ethically.

Once you complete the 2018 Tax Ethics - The Scandals course you will have satisfied the 2 hours of continuing education which satisfies the required 2 hours ethics part of the continuing education tax course.
